Harvest Wedding
October 25, 2008
Just recently we completed a wedding for a woman in Warwick. She wanted to do a fall themed wedding, with a very light and airy feeling. We used a multitude of nuts and fruit, combined with ribbon, autumn leaves, orchids, pumpkins and gerbera daisies.

The nuts and fruit have been touched with some gold paint and glitter

So yea… pretty much the best autumn themed wedding ever.
FTD Sunflower Arrangement
August 29, 2008

Here is the arrangement as it appeared on the FTD website
Here we have another arrangement recieved through FTD. At our online store (www.fernsandflowers.com) customers can order pre-designed arrangements and we replicate and improve upon them. Of course, sometimes these orders can be tough (Its impossible to have every single flower than can appear in the FTD networks arrangements on hand all the time), but we never cease to try to please.

Our version

We also added Kankgaroos Paw

Don't worry, by the end of the day all of that green will have revealed tiny yellow flowers
Sunflowers and Hydrangeas
August 29, 2008
Back with the crowd favourite, Hydrangeas! this time paired with sunflowers, iris, stock, and a berry garland.

The arrangement stands about 3ft tall

The hydrangeas were picked directly from our gardens

Yellow and Purple are an incredible color choice, especially when you include Iris
Vibrant Funeral
August 23, 2008
Just a few days ago we had a client who wanted flowers for a funeral. They wanted the arrangements to be very vibrant and colourful, using oranges and reds. (We really do appreciate it when clients come in with an idea of what they want… you have no idea how hard it is to make an arrangement when a client says “oh, I don’t know what I want, whatever you decide”)

Funeral Centerpiece

Coffin blanket
We used lilies, roses, tritoma, cherry brandy roses, red sunflowers, and leather leaf to create these arrangements. (I appologise for the poor picture quality, the camera has been on the fritz)
Summer Sunsets
August 9, 2008

Summer sunset
This arrangement is being given to one of our clients patients as a recovery gift. We used orchids, pin-cusion protea, cherry brandy roses, kangaroo paw, and various grasses. A butterfly was thrown in for good measure. The oranges, yellows and browns really remind viewers of a late summer sunset at the beach… its a good thing.

A unique combination of flowers

The cherry brandy roses were particularly good today

No butterflies were harmed in the arranging of this... arrangement
Tropical Centerpiece
August 4, 2008
here we have three centerpieces meant for a wedding rehearsal dinner. We used a multitude of exotic flowers such as birds of paradise, gerbera, ginger, lilies, cocks comb, various tropical foliage, and anthurium in a clear glass container to create a very unique set of centerpieces.

All three centerpieces

Glass cube vases were also used

The Birds and the Butterflies
July 28, 2008
Hello again!
sorry for the lack of updates this weekend, I’m finally getting my motorcycle license and well in Rhode Island you have to sit through 7 hours of class-time to get it.
Needless to say, I have a new and interesting arrangement to show everyone!

Probably the summ.. the summeriest arrangement you'll see, all... summer
We made it using sunflowers, roses, yarrow, tritoma, birds, and butterflies, all placed into a birdhouse-style ceramic pot

spanish moss for the birdsnest

don't worry, its not real
See you on Route 66
July 25, 2008
Here we have a funeral arrangement for a car enthusiast. After the phone call about the deceased loving cars we had a dilemma… what kind of car enthusiast? I mean, we have NASCAR, Classic Cars, Rally, ect. So my father being the bright man he is used put a Route 66 sign on the arrangement. That way we can’t go wrong.

Highway to Heaven
