After a few years, the excitement of a decoration is just not there. Storage and dust, damage and the “additions of stuff” gives it a yard sale cast off look. Sometimes the room that it belongs in has received up date, with new color, furniture, and a style.

The warm simple decorations are a greeting to friends and neighbors who come by. Simple fresh cut greens from my yard accent the flower boxes. Always try to do this before the cold hits. I have been known to have to boil pots of water to thaw out the soil just enough to get the stem in the soil! Making the job long and much more difficult.
A snowy New England morning at my home, I can smell the pan cakes, and the fresh coffee!

This is easy to store and will last many years. Using weather proof ribbon, and berries, makes this a long lasting investment, and a quick yearly joy to put in place. You know it can be pretty cold when it is time to put these darn things up. The last thing you want to do is spend more time than you like out there doing it. Mull the wine!
